Feast of St. Rupert of Salzburg, Bishop, founder and missionary. Bishop of Worms, first Bishop of Salzburg and abbot of St. Peter’s in Salzburg.  Took over a deserted town, renamed it Salzburg. Apostle of Bavaria. Patron of Austria, Salzburg and salt miners.

Feast of St. Aldemar the Wise, Benedictine Abbot, founder and miracle worker, born in Capua, became a monk at Monte Cassino, Abbot of San Lorenzo, founded monastery of Santa Eufemia and other monasteries in Chieti and Piceno. Buried in Bucchignano, Italy.

Feast of St. William of Penacorada, Benedictine founder, from the monastery of Sathgun, Leon, Spain.  Fled that monastery under attack by Saracens. Founded the monastery of Santa Maria de los Valles, later renamed San Guillermo de Penacorda.
